There is nothing more magical than being present as a woman moves through her rite of passage, supporting a family as they welcome new life, and witnessing the raw, powerful beauty of birth.
I love it.
I adore it.
I wouldn’t trade it for anything.
And yet…

The heartbreaking truth is that many incredible doulas and midwives eventually burn out or step away from the work they love.
Not because they want to.
Not because they’re not amazing at what they do and loved for it.
Not because they’ve lost their passion or sense of purpose and calling.
They burn out because they’re relying entirely on in-person work as their main source of income — year after year, birth after birth.
And don't get me wrong, the first few years you want nothing BUT to be in the birth portal.
But after a few years work life balance is craved by many.

It’s transformative, deeply meaningful, and (in my opinion) the best job in the world.
And yet… so many incredible doulas and midwives struggle to make their business work.
They burn out, they give up, or they keep it as a “side passion” because they can’t seem to make it financially sustainable.
And here’s the thing, it’s not because they’re not talented, passionate, or gifted at doing this ancient sacred women's work.
The #1 reason birth workers fail at business is not having a business mindset (or skills).

Yes, business skills matter, but really the one thing that will make you fail at business is your mindset.
Most birth workers aren’t failing because they don’t know enough about their craft or aren't amazing at what they do.
They’re failing because their own inner world is stopping them from showing up fully in the world.
