I have witnessed birth many times as a doctor in the hospital system.
Working in the NICU, I have been there in people’s most intimate moments.
I’ve delivered the worst and the best news, faced people’s tears and joy, anger and gratitude.
Their stories touched me always, sometimes shook me to the core and brought tears to my eyes behind closed doors.
I always gave my best, but it was not personal.
I was there as a function, never as me.
Seeing me as the function is reassuring to people.
So, what I love most about becoming a Sacred Birth Worker is this complete shift in the way I do my medicine work.
Truly being with woman.

When I first embarked on the journey of birth work in this lifetime, I used to believe the calling arrived later in my life.
But as the years unfold, I am beginning to see how much further back it truly reaches.
In fact, I now feel it like a thread weaving through the tapestry of my life—intertwining with my past, stretching into my ancestors, and carrying the echoes of many incarnations and generations of birth workers before me.
The first inklings of this path appeared in my childhood, where I was drawn to the wonders of the physiological world, guided by an innate, embodied wisdom, and a yearning to live in harmony with the vast w...

I love being a sister in this work.
I love dreaming with women, romanticizing what they want for themselves, and watching them step into their own power.
I love witnessing the moment when a woman doesn’t just give birth—she births herself.
I love mothering mothers—wrapping them in warmth, in wisdom, in reminders that they, too, are held.
I love sharing evidence-based truths that would have changed everything for my own rite of passage into motherhood.
I love that I don’t clock in, and I don’t check out. This isn’t a job—it’s a way of being. A remembering. A kno...

And I wouldn’t trade it for anything.
In this blog post I will share with you why I love it and also give you glimpse into the magic of birth through the birth photos of 4 of my beautiful clients births that I had the privilege and honor of attending, witnessing and holding space for. Â
Few people can say they witness miracles for a living.
As a birth worker, I get to stand in the presence of life itself unfolding, watching a mother step into her power, a baby take their first breath, and a family be forever changed.
No two births are the same, yet every single one carries this inexplicable magic—a moment so profound it imprints itself on everyone present.
To be invited into this moment is nothing short of a gift, one that I will never take for granted.
