Fincha's Journey to Starting Her Birth Business 

My name is Fincha Carter, and I am a sacred birth doula and sound healer living in the south of Sweden with my family.

I see pregnancy and birth as a portal – a threshold into motherhood and into meeting yourself on a deeper level.

That’s how it all began for me.

When I was expecting my first child, it felt as if a small universe was growing inside me.

While I was creating new life, I was also carrying questions that had been quietly resting within me for years:

Who am I when I truly listen to my inner voice?
What am I really longing for?
What is my soul calling?

How I Knew Birth Work was my Calling

I had a deep trust in my body and a clear vision of how I wanted to give birth.

But when I shared my wishes within the healthcare system, I didn’t feel seen.

Instead, I was met with hesitation and doubt.

Slowly, fear began to grow - fear of not being respected and of losing my sense of control.

I longed for someone who could reflect back the magic and power of what was unfolding.

Someone who could meet me emotionally and spiritually, and hold me as these big questions
about life arose.

That’s when I found support in a doula.

She met me in my big feelings and affirmed what I already knew deep within and helped me return to trusting my intuition.

My mom was also a big support during my first pregnancy.

During my birth, I met both darkness and raw, primal power.

I encountered parts of myself I didn’t know existed.

And it was there - in the depths of my own birth - that the longing to become a sacred birth doula started to grow.

Becoming a doula wasn’t something I had planned, but it was as if my soul already knew: I was here to support women to live and birth in their power and intuition.

How My Passion Became My Business

Once I had decided to follow my path as a doula, I started my business with very little knowledge about how to actually run one.

After a few months, I realized that passion and heart weren’t enough.

I also needed to know how to build a structure around the work I loved.

I tried a few different business courses, but most of them felt very masculine – all about strategies, hard work, and hustle.

I longed for a feminine and spiritual perspective, a business model that felt aligned with my vision.

I also felt quite lonely working from home and wished for a community of women walking similar paths.

That’s when I found Business Course for Birth Workers with Anna.

The course became one of the most important investments I’ve made in myself and my work.

It didn’t just give me knowledge and practical tools in heart-led marketing, attracting soul aligned clients and online presence – it also shifted my mindset.

From “Can I really do this?” to “This is my path, and I can shape it in my own way”.

I began to see my work not only as a passion, but as a sustainable business that could truly reach and support the women who need me.

And perhaps even more importantly – I found sisterhood.

Being surrounded by women with similar dreams and devotion gave me the courage to step forward and believe in myself and share my voice with the world.

Weaving Sound and Soul into Birth Work

Before becoming a doula, I was already working with sound healing and soul coaching.

So when I stepped into birth work, it felt natural to weave my spiritual practices into the support I offer.

In birth preparation, I use sound healing to help women drop out of their busy minds and into deep trust in their bodies.

The vibrations release tension, soften fear, and create an atmosphere of calm - both for the mother and the baby.

Through soul coaching, I guide women to connect with their inner wisdom, release limiting beliefs, and align with their vision for birth and motherhood.

For me, holding space is not only about supporting the physical process of birth - it’s about walking alongside a woman as she meets herself, in all her strength and vulnerability.

Sound healing and soul coaching have become the threads that weave my work together, creating a
holistic and personal approach for every woman I serve.

Today I live my soul calling

Today, I live my soul calling as a doula, sound healer and space holder.

I have the honor of supporting women in some of the most sacred moments of their lives, creating safe and

loving spaces for them to reconnect with their intuition.

Starting my birth business has been more than creating a career, it has been about stepping fully into who I am and what I am here to do.

The Business Course for Birth Workers gave me both direction and belief in what’s possible.

And through it, I found beautiful, wise women who are walking similar paths - sisters whose support means so much.

For me, pregnancy and birth will always be a portal.

And it is my deepest calling to stand at that threshold with women – holding space, offering presence and reminding mothers of their own inner wisdom.
