Today you get to hear from a Midwife and her journey to becoming a Midwife as well as a Sacred Birth Worker.
Enjoy!

When I first embarked on the journey of birth work in this lifetime, I used to believe the calling arrived later in my life.
But as the years unfold, I am beginning to see how much further back it truly reaches.
In fact, I now feel it like a thread weaving through the tapestry of my life—intertwining with my past, stretching into my ancestors, and carrying the echoes of many incarnations and generations of birth workers before me.
The first inklings of this path appeared in my childhood, where I was drawn to the wonders of the physiological world, guided by an innate, embodied wisdom, and a yearning to live in harmony with the vast w...

I love being a sister in this work.
I love dreaming with women, romanticizing what they want for themselves, and watching them step into their own power.
I love witnessing the moment when a woman doesn’t just give birth—she births herself.
I love mothering mothers—wrapping them in warmth, in wisdom, in reminders that they, too, are held.
I love sharing evidence-based truths that would have changed everything for my own rite of passage into motherhood.
I love that I don’t clock in, and I don’t check out. This isn’t a job—it’s a way of being. A remembering. A kno...

I love being a sacred birth Worker.
I love it even more than I thought I would when I started the mentorship.
I love the depth in sacred birth work.Â
I love having lots of practical knowledge and resources as well as bringing the embodiment piece into working with women - which I feel is something that is lacking with many care providers.
I love being able to unwind big topics with women and offer them new perspectives on birth and pregnancy.
I love being able to turn questions around to them and assist them in accessing their own inner wisdom instead of needing to convince them...

And I wouldn’t trade it for anything.
In this blog post I will share with you why I love it and also give you glimpse into the magic of birth through the birth photos of 4 of my beautiful clients births that I had the privilege and honor of attending, witnessing and holding space for. Â
Few people can say they witness miracles for a living.
As a birth worker, I get to stand in the presence of life itself unfolding, watching a mother step into her power, a baby take their first breath, and a family be forever changed.
No two births are the same, yet every single one carries this inexplicable magic—a moment so profound it imprints itself on everyone present.
To be invited into this moment is nothing short of a gift, one that I will never take for granted.

WE are often the ones keeping ourselves from our destiny, our purpose, heck even our own happiness.
Why do we do it?
Whether it’s the fear of financial instability, uncertainty about what training to choose, or concerns about balancing birth work with personal life, many who feel drawn to this path hesitate to take the leap of faith.
Maybe it’s too scary to leave a comfortable, safe job and pursue your true calling… for most it is. Most people don’t follow their purpose but sit on the sidelines watching others do it.
And I am not saying these concerns aren’t valid.Â
They Totally are. And they deserve to be explored.Â
Because beneath them lies the truth.
So let’s face some of the most common fears and objections to daring to follow one's calling into birth work.

Throughout the ages, for all of time, birth has been women’s business—guided and held by those who understood the rhythms and cycles of nature, birth and death, the rite's of passages and the sacred transitions of life.
Today, that knowledge has been divided into roles: doulas and midwives.
But what if you feel called to something deeper?
This blog explores the differences between doulas and midwives, their training, skills, and limitations, and why many women are now seeking something beyond both—the path of the Sacred Birth Worker.
A doula is a non-medical birth worker who provides emotional, physical, and informational support before, during, and after birth.
To become a doula, you typically:

This blog post explores how you can be a protector of a woman’s, her baby's and her family's birth experience and how to offer positive support during this transformational and pivotal moment in life.

And I’d love to share with you the winding road that led me here, from my early years as a seeker and student, not feeling like I belonged in this time or on this earth, to following my heart and inner compass and eventually becoming the founder of Sacred Birth International where all the knowledge and embodied wisdom I have gathered throughout the years all come together in what I offer today.
Looking back, I realize that my calling to serve women and be at the start of life, birth, has always been with me. I was always a deeply intuitive child, speaking truths from the heart—even when it wasn’t always well received. My search for something deeper began early as I didn’t find it in my family or friendships, and by my teenage y...

Aimee continues to share how her life took a turn as she moved from the big city smoke of Sydney into nature in Northern NSW, meeting a new partner and then becoming pregnant again and how this time she made very different choices.
She employed an independent home birth midwife for her second pregnancy but ended up birthing before her midwife arrived, and when she became pregnant a third time she decided for a fully wild pregnancy and free birth with just her family.
